On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,682. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.952 billion and the number of lots traded 11,266. Major business was contributed by gold PKR 2.983 billion followed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 2.809 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.752 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 643.798 million, silver PKR 198.080 million, DJ PKR 188.394 million, platinum PKR 108.437 million, copper PKR 102.232 million, natural gas PKR 83.321 million, SP500 PKR 61.526 million, Brent crude oil PKR 18.836 million and Japan Equity PKR 2.882 million. In agriculture commodities 2 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.025 million were traded.
